Okano is a premium golf club manufacturer and lifestyle brand based in Ginza Building, Tokyo, Japan. Founded inside a small Shima Peninsula, Mie Prefecture workshop in 2005, our mission is to craft golf clubs as a form of artistic expression, operating as the only company that handles every step from design to final production in-house to create the highest-quality products on the market today.

2005SOKANO WORKSHOP IN SHIMA PENINSULA, MIE PREFECTURE

20052005 Okano begins crafting clubs in a tiny workshop in Shima Peninsula, Mie Prefecture, beginning as Tsurumi Golf Center Company

2006STHE OKANO GOLF CLUBS

2007The first okano test club was produced.

2008The Okano Golf Club Manufacturing Company was established to start producing okano golf clubs.

2009Okano launches the COLLECT model was introduced.

Okano Stories Extra Collect Model Club

2010SCLUBS FOR PROFESSIONAL

2011Okano introduced black carbon graphite and black shaft-installed woods and the EXTRA COLLECT model was launched.

2012Okano brand apparel and golf gear was introduced. The E 90 model was launched as well as the T series, designed for professional and better golfers.

2013SYOKOHAMA STUDIO

2014Okano moves production-base to Yokohama, Japan where the company continues to produce clubs today.

2015Okano launched continued with technical breakthroughs with the launch of the “Titanium Boron” shaft, the first to combine titanium alloy fiber with carbon fiber.

2016Okano secured a patent for its Titanium Fine Metal and Titanium Carbon shafts
